Brothers Amedeo and Matteo Giovanelli aka Mathame have quickly garnered much attention through their dusky, atmospheric Techno releases on illustrious underground labels such as Anagram, ARTS and Afterlife Records, utilising a wide range of hardware (from analogue synths to obscure drum machines) as well as their experience as visual artists to create their free-flowing, signature sound.
Their EP (inspired by the clear and clean stars above the Mount Etna, an active volcano in Southern Italy) is the third release on esteemed DJ/producer duo Fur Coat’s Oddity, an imprint that was founded to showcase some of the darker, leftfield Techno that exists in the scene – a sonic style that aligns perfectly with that of Mathame.
