Darius’s latest project is his label Moxy Muzik which launched its first release back in December 2018, the labels first release from Darius with his ‘Dance of The Shaman’ original rapidly landed in that coveted No.1 spot, and the labels output has been heavily supported by Laurent Garnier, Derrick May and Kerri Chandler.
Now after turning just 1 year, the boss is back with his 2-part Ying Yang EP to kick off 2020. Part 1 is Darius’s ‘Soul Fire’ original mix accompanied by a killer remix from young Italian producer Dimmish, which is set to be released digitally on the 28th February. Opening with ‘Soul Fire’ with its skippy percussion and energetic bassline, it nods back to the 90s US House inspired by artists like Junior Vazquez and Chez Damier. “This was a sound which first got me into all this music” says Darius. Dimmish takes the original motifs and injects his trademark Italian flair for a more upbeat peak-time groover.
