When We Dip | Premiere: Brina Knauss makes her debut on Frau Blau

Frau Blau proudly welcomes Crosstown Rebels’ rising star Brina Knauss for her debut EP on the label. ‘Births’ is a hypnotic melodic solid gem of a track. It’s the sound of summer, as the beautiful pads wrap themselves effortlessly around the melodic top line, while a bubbling bassline gently meanders, creating a huge moment. Understated yet anthemic simultaneously.

Berlin’s Emanuel Satie, fresh from Cocoon & Rebirth, steps up first on remix duty and utilizes so much of the original. Enhancing the emotion, and bringing forth the drive of the bassline, this is a festival-sized rework.

Next up is David Mayer. His work on Connected & Get Physical causing a fuss as always, seemed like the perfect choice to bring his vibes. And what a decision this was. An end-of-night smile inducer was the outcome, as the feel-good vibes flow throughout.

If the package wasn’t big enough already, a second original entitled ‘Ludum’ brings some dirtiness to proceedings. This gritty number slowly develops from the darkness, as subtle emotions gently bring in some light, changing the vibe wonderfully.
