South California sensation The Archer creates ‘Magic’ on his debut for the label with Rafa Barrios providing a powerful rerub. LA-Based Arash Homampour, better known as The Archer, has exploded onto the scene in the last 12 months with his own label – There Is A Light – and an arsenal of killer beats for release over the course of 2022 and beyond. Describing his sound as “House with a Techno foundation”, The Archer aims to transcend language through rhythm, melody and art.

Starting deep and mysterious, ‘Magic’ broods from the off. “I feel a connection with you” the vocal sings, as a powerful low end injects pace and energy into the track “There’s some kind of magic in you”. On remix duties, Rafa Barrios adds his extensive studio skills to smooth out the original and tease its main motifs into a chunky melodic tech chugger.
