Arodes takes us on a trip to the mood with his superb new Lunar EP. Adrian Rodriguez, better known as ARODES, is a Spanish DJ and producer who has made a name for himself in the Afro House and Indie Dance scene with some fine tunes on Moblack, Sony, Universal & Days Like Night, and has been supported by the likes of ARTBAT, RÜFÜS DU SOL, and Swedish House Mafia.
Butterflies is a deep and spine tingling house cut embellished with tender piano chords and deft synths next to a soulful vocal. Lunar then has more steely drums and textured synths for a darker trip through the cosmos and Nothing Left builds on that with slower drums but menacing chords that are full of melancholy over the mid tempo grooves. Luci in collaboration with Martim Rola is another uplifting cut with superb pads and an airy groove that fills you with emotion.
