Born in Peru and now based in Phoenix, Gio Lucca (ISO, Black Book, Deeperfect) is on a mission to make people dance and boogie, and the titled ‘Control’ EP on La Zic is a testament to his commitment. With support from some of the industry’s best, such as Jamie Jones and Marco Carola, to name a few, Gio Lucca’s ascent to the major stages seems to be inevitable and under… control.

Retro-house fat drums and funky disco jabs are the bread and butter on the lead track, while ‘Keep It Quiet’, in collaboration with Argentinian talent Julio Bravo, offers glitchy atmospheres, tight grooves, and deadly, pointy bass licks. The EP gets enriched by two remixes, with Proudly People delivering a rolling, tech version designed for the early hour moments on the terrace, while Lolu Menayed sets the tone with a dreamy, afterhours tool.
