Turning back has never been an option for Jean Pierre. With a career that has crossed decades, continents, and countless dancefloors, the Colombian-born, New York–raised artist returns with a defining statement — his second solo album, ‘No Turning Back’, out via his own label Pakate Records.

Marking the label’s nineteenth release and coinciding with Jean Pierre’s 40th birthday, ‘No Turning Back’ is an album and a milestone. Written and produced in his adopted home of Barcelona, the 12-track project encapsulates years of creative exploration and lived experience between New York, Miami, and Europe’s underground hubs.

Following his debut LP on Nervous Records in 2013, Jean Pierre channels everything learned from the road, the studio, and late-night jam sessions into a collection that blurs the boundaries between techno, house, minimal, and breakbeat. The sound is raw, dynamic, and deeply personal — a reflection of JP’s own evolution as an artist and a human being.

Among its standout moments is ‘Back To Dance’, an irresistible groove-driven cut that captures the album’s core spirit: connection, rhythm, and renewal. Fusing rumba-inspired percussion with intricate basslines and hypnotic energy, the track feels like both a return and a reinvention — the sound of Jean Pierre fully in his element.

Featuring collaborations with close friends Natalia Roth, Daniel Orpi, Zamoras, and newcomers Jamie Coins, Hanie, and Casas, No Turning Back celebrates not just music, but community — a shared pulse that has guided JP from New York basements to Barcelona rooftops.

You can now listen to the full premiere of “Back To Dance” exclusively on When We Dip Radio. Enjoy!
