ELIF brings Marginalia’s ‘Bestiary’ compilation to new heights with pristine curation across 23 tracks

Marking Marginalia’s 29th release and third VA, ‘Bestiary Vol. 3,’ is the label’s most expansive statement yet, curated end-to-end by label founder ELIF. The compilation gathers 23 originals that reflect the imprint’s core: a trusted space where emerging and established artists sit side by side and records are built for real dance floors.

This volume welcomes back Marginalia family – Liminal MX, Predex, Jaffer, Saint Carmo, Severin Su, VALON – and introduces new voices such as Offtide, Baime, Maxi Vega, Rozenbergg, AlexC., TwoHeads, and Gal Shimol. It’s sequenced with a DJ’s logic: clear openers, focused peak-time tools, and late-night drivers that close the circle without losing momentum.

Highlights trace that arc with precision. ELIF & Sinca’s ‘Tal (feat. Shrii)’ sets the tone with melodic lift; Predex’s ‘Defendo’ and TwoHeads’ ‘That’s Right’ supply decisive peak energy; Michael Ritter & Felix E’s ‘Need You’ brings a vocal moment that cuts through on larger systems; VALON & Baime’s ‘Taktspiegel,’ KAMADEV’s ‘Bacha,’ and Jaffer’s ‘Materia’ steer the final stretch toward hypnotic control.

Around them, contributions from Maxi Vega, Offtide, Rozenbergg, CALAO, AlexC., Papillon, Rendelman, & Karavagy and more broaden the palette while keeping the focus tight.

What defines ‘Bestiary Vol. 3’ is balance: headline pieces with immediate impact sit next to understated tools that earn their place in the mix. It plays front-to-back like a real set with enough versatility for warm-ups, peak slots, and after-hours alike.

Shaped by ELIF’s ear and the community around her, ‘Bestiary Vol. 3’ captures where Marginalia is now – melodic at heart, adventurous in spirit, resolutely floor-focused, and a symbol of what comes next. It’s a confident snapshot of the label’s world in 2025: global voices under one roof, crafted for clubs, festivals, and the moments between.
