Capping off his most prolific year in the studio to date, Brazilian electronic producer and DJ Coppola announces the arrival of his debut full-length album, Sandbox Dreams, out November 21 on Gui Boratto’s D.O.C. Records. Marking the latest chapter in the São Paulo native’s rapidly ascending career, the album stands as a bold and heartfelt statement; a work that transcends borders and genres, weaving together emotion, rhythm and imagination into a singular sonic vision.

A culmination of Coppola’s musical evolution, Sandbox Dreams is a deeply personal and exploratory body of work. Both playful and profoundly dynamic, it’s a record that blurs the lines between the dancefloor and the dream world, inviting listeners into a space where rhythm and imagination coexist. Across eleven finely crafted tracks, Coppola paints with a vivid palette of sound, moving fluidly from the pulse of house and the shimmer of disco to the intimacy of soul and the cinematic textures of electronica and downtempo. Layered vocal performances, organic instrumentation and intricate rhythms intertwine with a sense of freedom and curiosity that feels at once sophisticated and spontaneous.

Ultimately, the album’s title becomes its guiding metaphor: a musical sandbox where Coppola experiments with feeling, form and texture, transforming youthful wonder into mature artistic expression.

“Sandbox Dreams is about rediscovering the joy of creation,” says Coppola. “It’s me allowing myself to play again; to mix sounds, genre and ideas without limits. Every track represents a moment of curiosity and together they tell a story about growth, movement and imagination.”

The release follows two acclaimed singles on Kompakt that introduced listeners to the album’s sonic identity: “Tip Toe,” featuring the soulful vocals of Odaya, and “Grooving Without Moving,” a collaboration with Bauhouse featuring Frannk Whitte and Maria Paula Cunha. Both singles highlighted Coppola’s ability to blend emotional resonance with intricate rhythmic design, and have earned early support from artists across the global electronic spectrum. Together, they set the tone for an album that explores groove and melody not as opposites, but as collaborators in an ongoing dialogue.

Born and raised in São Paulo, Luiz Coppola began exploring music at a remarkably young age. By 12, he was already experimenting with CDJs; by 14, producing his own tracks. After graduating from DJ Ban’s prestigious music production program at just 15, Coppola quickly earned recognition for his technical precision and artistic instinct. Since then, he has produced over 400 original tracks, released 22 singles across national and international labels and published seven original podcasts. His productions have received support from leading artists including Solomun, Richie Hawtin, Joseph Capriati, ANNA, Victor Ruiz, Alex Stein, Thomas Schumacher, Wehbba, and many others, underscoring his growing influence among top-tier selectors.

On stage, Coppola has already performed at some of Brazil’s most iconic venues and festivals, including Ultra Music Festival, Universo Paralello, D.EDGE, Green Valley, Ame Club, Café de la Musique and Laroc, in addition to São Paulo’s underground institutions Ressonância, Pressure, and Take Me Under. Each appearance has reinforced his reputation as a technically skilled and emotionally intuitive performer, capable of connecting with audiences through both subtlety and intensity.

With Sandbox Dreams, Coppola now steps onto the international stage with renewed confidence. The album stands not only as a showcase of his sonic craftsmanship, but also as a testament to the creative synergy between Brazil’s new generation of producers and the global community that continues to embrace their sound. Guided by Gui Boratto’s mentorship and D.O.C. Records’ forward-thinking ethos, Coppola’s debut marks the arrival of an artist whose music is as heartfelt as it is visionary.
