The track arrives via Sapiens Records, Agoria’s celebrated imprint known for championing boundary-pushing electronic music.
‘Mind Expansion’ is a bold, hypnotic journey — a fusion of House-futurism, spoken word, groove-driven percussion, and deep jazzy electronic mysticism. Floyd’s production radiates confidence and intention, weaving a sonic world where rhythm, identity, and philosophy collide. But the story doesn’t end there. The EP called ‘Hekima’ also features ‘You Belong’ ft. Dumama, a track that dives even deeper into Floyd’s emotional and spiritual universe. Floyd Lavine’s journey is one that spans continents and eras of musical influence. Born in South Africa, he absorbed the richness of his homeland’s house and dance culture, from the sounds of Oskido to Vinny Da Vinci. A six-year chapter in East London exposed him to the city’s underground pulse, sharpening his creative instincts and shaping his identity as a cross-genre artist.
Since relocating to Berlin in 2016, Floyd has become a vital figure in the city’s evolution of Afro-inspired electronic music. He founded RISE, the pioneering Afro House collective and event series that took over Watergate and stages across Europe — a project that brought new energy, representation, and community into the house and techno landscape.
Across his career, Floyd has played at some of the world’s most respected stages: CTM Festival, Panorama Bar, Black Coffee’s Ibiza residency, and many others. His sets and productions are marked by deep emotion, cultural storytelling, and a futuristic edge that always feels alive and forward-moving.
In 2021, Floyd launched Afrikan Tales, his own imprint dedicated to pushing modern Afro-futuristic sounds and uplifting new voices from across the continent and diaspora.
