A meeting of melodic minds, Jonas Saalbach and Martin Dubiansky join forces for ‘Refraction’, the striking title track of their latest EP, out now on Radikon.

At its core, ‘Refraction’ is a study in tension and transformation. Built around a dissonant chord structure, the track evolves through layers of distorted textures and shifting arpeggios, creating a sense of constant motion and unease. The arrangement bends and reshapes its own energy, momentarily dissolving into weightless harmony before surging back with renewed intensity, a dynamic interplay that keeps the listener locked in from start to finish.

It’s a production that perfectly captures the essence of both artists. Jonas Saalbach’s signature emotional depth and melodic precision intertwine seamlessly with Martin Dubiansky’s darker, more progressive edge. The result is a powerful and immersive club piece that feels both cerebral and physical, designed for those late-night moments where atmosphere and energy collide.

Complementing the title track, the EP also features ‘A Piece Of The Sun’, offering a contrasting perspective. Where ‘Refraction’ leans into tension and shadow, its counterpart opens up into something warmer and more uplifting, a forward-moving composition that balances the release with light and clarity. Together, the two tracks reflect a duality of sound: direct and refracted, tension and release.

With a catalogue spanning global stages and labels, Jonas Saalbach continues to shape his vision through Radikon, a platform that has become a home for forward-thinking melodic house and techno. Alongside him, Martin Dubiansky’s rapid rise, supported by key names across the scene, further cements this collaboration as one to watch.

‘Refraction’ stands as a refined and expressive addition to both artists’ discographies, a track that invites listeners to get lost in its evolving layers while staying firmly rooted on the dancefloor.

You can now listen to the full premiere of ‘Refraction’ exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy!
