Today on When We Dip, we’re proud to premiere ‘Forsaken’, the new and powerful cut from Mario Ochoa’s latest EP, ‘Crushed / Forsaken’, released on Monika Kruse’s legendary imprint, Terminal M.

Built around a dark, driving framework, Forsaken showcases Mario Ochoa’s trademark ability to fuse raw techno energy with tightly controlled groove and atmosphere. Rolling low-end pressure, sharp percussive layers, and evolving synth tension give the track a hypnotic forward motion, perfectly suited for late-night and peak-time floors. It’s a focused and uncompromising production that highlights Mario’s refined sense of structure and club functionality.

The two-track EP is completed by Crushed, which leans into a more direct and aggressive approach, pairing pounding drums with a stripped-back, industrial-tinged mood. Together, Crushed and Forsaken form a concise and highly effective techno statement — dark, functional, and built with the dancefloor firmly in mind.

Colombia-born Mario Ochoa is widely regarded as one of the most respected Latin American artists in electronic music. His international breakthrough came in 2003 with ‘Habla con la Luna’, released on Disc Doctor, the label founded by Dr. Kucho. The track became a global success, was licensed on more than 90 compilations, and quickly turned into an Ibiza anthem that same year.

Since then, Mario’s career has continued to grow through releases on many of the world’s most influential labels, including Toolroom Records, 100% Pure, and Suara. Over the years, tracks such as ‘Lockdown’, ‘Me Gusta’, ‘Secrets’, ‘Asteroids’, ‘Tripping’, and ‘Recreation’ have cemented his reputation for delivering powerful, high-impact club records.

You can now listen to the full premiere of ‘Mario Ochoa – Forsaken’ exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy.
