Today on When We Dip Magazine, we’re pleased to premiere ‘Rebirth,’ the title track from the new three-track EP by Zehv, out now on Melody Of The Soul, the imprint of M.O.S..
Marking his debut on the label, Zehv arrives with a release that balances emotional depth with driving club energy. The ‘Rebirth EP’ unfolds across three tracks, ‘Rebirth’, ‘Leland’, and ‘Acid Test’, each exploring different shades of melodic and progressive electronic music while maintaining a strong dancefloor focus.
The title track, ‘Rebirth’, captures the essence of Zehv’s sound. A rolling groove and warm bassline anchor the production, while evolving melodic layers and textured atmospheres gradually build tension and emotion. Based in Brooklyn, Zehv’s musical roots stretch back to his early days as a blues guitarist, an influence that continues to shape his approach to electronic production. Since stepping into DJing and music production in 2014, he has steadily carved out a distinctive voice in the progressive house scene, combining groovy basslines with intricate sound design and touches of live instrumentation.
His catalogue already includes releases on respected imprints such as Mood of Mind, Stripped Recordings, and Manual Music, while his energetic DJ sets have seen him share stages with artists including Andrew Bayer, Sebastien Leger, and Joris Voorn.
Zehv’s productions have also drawn consistent support from key figures across the melodic and progressive spectrum, including Guy J, Paul van Dyk, Cristoph, Fehrplay, Gabriel & Dresden, and Matt Fax.
With the ‘Rebirth EP’, Zehv delivers a confident introduction to Melody Of The Soul, a release that highlights both his musicality and his instinct for crafting immersive dancefloor moments.
