New York-based producer Kaito Henry returns to Melody Lab with ‘Solace’, a two-track EP rooted in depth and quiet intensity. Following his previous work on the imprint, the Japanese, Spanish and Italian artist continues to refine a sound that sits between the melodic and the hypnotic, drawing on house, indie dance, and the rich palette of textures he has built across his releases.
The title track, ‘Solace’, moves through deep layers and a deliberate vocal that opens up the space around it, building patiently before settling into a hypnotic groove. Its companion, ‘Non Finis’, takes a slightly different path, leaning into tension and release with a groove that locks in and refuses to let go. Together, the two cuts showcase music designed for the dancefloor but shaped by something deeper, the kind of release that rewards both peak-time spins and quieter listening.
Melody Lab, the New York City label and event series, has continued to carve out a distinctive identity on the deeper end of house and indie dance. Known for releases that prioritise mood over hype, the imprint has hosted a roster of artists who share that same patient, story-driven approach. With ‘Solace’, Kaito Henry adds another chapter to that ongoing narrative.
You can now listen to the full premiere of ‘Solace’ exclusively on When We Dip Radio. Enjoy!
