There are collaborations that feel less like two producers in a room and more like a single vision arriving fully formed, and ‘Aquamarine’ is exactly that. It brings together Cid Inc. and Dmitry Molosh, two of progressive house’s most respected craftsmen, for a track that is deep, hypnotic and beautifully patient. Rolling low end, glassy textures and a melody that shimmers just beneath the surface give the record its name, evoking the shifting light of clear water. It is a masterclass in restraint, building tension slowly and rewarding the listener with a groove that feels both weightless and utterly locked in.

‘Aquamarine’ arrives as part of ‘This Is Balance Croatia 2026’, the official thirty three track compilation celebrating the festival that returns to The Garden, Tisno from the 6th to the 10th of August. Curated as both a reflection of the festival’s musical identity and a document of the wider progressive community, the compilation gathers over thirty artists, every one of them featured on the lineup, spanning more than ten countries. Alongside long standing figureheads such as Hernán Cattáneo, Anthony Pappa and D-Nox, and rising talents turning heads across the scene, the release captures a genre being embraced by an entirely new generation.

Cid Inc., the alias of Finnish producer Henri Hurtig, has spent more than two decades at the cutting edge of progressive and tech house, earning a reputation for meticulous production and a sound that is unmistakably his own. Dmitry Molosh, the Belarusian producer celebrated for his epic, deeply hypnotic compositions, has become a fixture in the sets of the scene’s most influential DJs. Together they bring out the best in one another here, and the result sits perfectly within the world that Balance has built.

Balance has been at the very forefront of underground house music since its inception, its revered mix series established in 2000 and its showcase for expressive tech, progressive and wider variations of house music continuing to shape the sound today.
