Poland’s rising house scene pushes to the front on Adesso Music this July, as Warsaw producer Paul Sun links up with fellow Polish talent Louis (PL) for their first collaborative EP, ‘Shake’. It is a meeting of two artists who have quietly built momentum on the underground, and together they deliver three percussion-rich cuts built for peak-time chaos.
Title track ‘Shake’, which we are proud to premiere today, sets the tone with driving drums, tribal-leaning grooves, chopped vocal hooks and dubbed-out textures woven throughout. It is a raw, hands-in-the-air roller that channels Paul Sun’s love of South American rhythms and 90s rave energy, wrapped around the club-ready groove that runs through everything Louis (PL) touches. The result is a cut made for the heads down, hands up moments on a busy dancefloor.
The wider EP keeps the intensity high. ‘Work’ follows the title cut with rich organic percussion, crisp claps and warped vocal processing for a hypnotic, late-night feel, while closer ‘All U Need’ shifts gears slightly, introducing falling synth motifs and warm melodic flourishes without ever losing the low-end weight that ties the release together.
Both producers arrive with real pedigree. Paul Sun has earned support from the likes of Roger Sanchez and Chris Lake, with previous releases landing on labels such as White Widow Records and Profound, while Louis (PL) has drawn backing from and collaborated with names including Robert Owens and Flashmob. On ‘Shake’, their shared instincts for groove and drum-led energy lock into place.
The EP arrives via Adesso Music, the London label founded by house legend Junior Jack alongside Pat BDS. Since launching, Adesso has become a reliable home for forward-thinking house and tech house from established names and rising talent alike, and the ‘Shake’ EP slots into that world perfectly.
