Refraction Records rounds off the universe it built around Pedro Capelossi’s ‘Gone With The High’ with a remix edition that hands the EP’s four cuts to a carefully chosen cast of reinterpreters, and among them Retza delivers one of its most striking moments. The London and Melbourne based producer marks a long awaited return to the label with his rework of ‘Static Halo’, reshaping the original into something bigger, bolder and built for peak time impact.
Where the source material moves with restraint, Retza’s ‘Static Exploration Mix’ leans fully into momentum.
