Toronto-born and Bali-based, Brodie Nero has spent the last few years building one of the more well-travelled catalogues in house music. A DJ, producer and the founder of KONTRAS Records, he moves comfortably between melodic, afro and deeper shades of the genre, and his sets from Bali have become a calling card of their own. After a standout 2025 release on Make The Girls Dance, he now lands on Wired with a massive new EP.

‘So Many Lies’ comes in two versions, and the original mix is the one we are premiering today. It opens on an Afro-driven groove, all rolling percussion and patient low end, before a distinct and powerful melodic synth line cuts across the top and reshapes the whole thing. A smooth vocal floats through the middle section and gives the track its hook, sitting somewhere between late-night warmth and peak-time drive. It is a record built for the moment a floor stops watching the booth and starts moving.

Completing the package is a remix from Bun Xapa, one of Afro House’s most prominent rising stars. The South African producer pulls the vocal somewhere deeper and more hypnotic, trading melody for tension and handing DJs a second, very different weapon from the same release.

Wired have been striving for new horizons since 2010, and the label’s long run across afro, melodic, and deep-leaning house makes it a natural home for a record like this one. Two versions, two very different rooms, one very strong EP.

You can now listen to the full premiere of ‘So Many Lies’ exclusively on When We Dip Radio. Enjoy!
