Traumer is back on Smallville’s beloved F*ck Reality imprint, but this time under a different name. As Marion Poncet, the French producer delivers his heartbeats in full length format with ‘The Raging Swells Crushing The Cliff Of My Love’, a deeply personal album pressed as a 2×12″ and the second LP in the Fuck Reality series.

Written during a period of longing for his love, the album plays like a musical dedication, and ‘Furious Stanca’ is one of its most striking moments. The track rolls on a chunky, crunchy groove with a warm low end, while hazy chords and restless percussion carry a real emotional pull underneath. It is thoughtful house music with a raw edge, the kind of record that feels equally at home in a late-night club session and on a long walk with your headphones on.

While Traumer is the moniker he is currently touring the world with, it is only one side of a truly versatile musical mind. Next to Traumer, the artist also operates as Brako, Amine Laje, Jinger, Redspecs and Marion Poncet, among other side projects. He has always seen these aliases as a way to express himself and showcase his musical broadness, from house music in all its shades and moods to techno, downbeat, trippy cuts for the heads and broken beat material.

Run by the Hamburg crew behind Smallville Records, F*ck Reality is the label’s sister imprint dedicated to thoughtful but crunchy house music with a chunk. As always with Smallville, the release comes wrapped in a full cover artwork by Stefan Marx, whose illustrations have become an iconic part of the label’s identity.
