Leeds producer Kepler returns to FUSE with ‘Sunday Service’, a four-track EP that moves between deep house, garage swing and low-slung club pressure, and When We Dip is delighted to premiere its opening cut, ‘Inner Motion’.
Kepler has built his name on weighty basslines, rolling drums and an instinct for keeping ideas sounding fresh. Releases on Up The Stuss, Semi Delicious, Constant Sound and Rossi’s HOME//GRXWN. have helped establish that approach, earning support from selectors such as Ben UFO, Raresh, Chris Stussy, Four Tet and Interplanetary Criminal. Alongside his own productions he runs the labels Contact Music and Perspective, while his Studio Orbit project has grown into an online production community supporting thousands of artists. He first appeared on FUSE in 2024 alongside founder Enzo Siragusa as part of the label’s X Series, and ‘Sunday Service’ marks his first solo release on the imprint.
FUSE needs little introduction. What began in 2008 as a Sunday all-day party in East London, built by Enzo Siragusa and a tight crew of residents including Rich NxT, Seb Zito, Archie Hamilton and Rossko, grew into one of the most respected names in stripped-back, groove-led house. The label followed in 2011 and has kept that same deep, rolling identity ever since, which makes Kepler’s UK-leaning sound a natural fit for the family.
‘Inner Motion’ opens the EP with a cosmic groove, sweeping melodies and tightly placed percussion, spacious enough to drift yet locked firmly to the dancefloor. From there the release keeps shifting shades: ‘Jump Up Crew’, featuring MC Secret Agent, pushes into garage territory with an animated vocal presence and heavy low-end weight, while on the B-side ‘Unity’ settles into a deep, fluid rhythm before the title track ‘Sunday Service’ journeys through hazy textures and shuffling drums for a late-night finish. Digital bonus ‘Alter Ego’ rounds things out with a final trip through vibrant spheres and swirling synths. The EP lands on digital and vinyl on October 16th.
You can now listen to the full premiere of ‘Inner Motion’ exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy!
