Jackmaster & Tiga lead DJ community in aid for Aleppo push

When We Dip
News
16 December 2016

With the situation in Syria reaching it’s peak, Scottish DJ Jackmaster and Canadian artist Tiga lead the DJ community in highlighting the current crisis.  The pair have both guaranteed that a percentage of their New Years Eve/Day show income will go to the directly to aiding the organisations on the front line and have encouraged others to do the same. Jackmaster plays four gigs over the period, Nightvision Hogmanay in Aberdeen and Subculture in Glasgow on New Year’s Eve and In:Motion Bristol and Warehouse Project on New Year’s Day. Tiga plays in Brooklyn with Disclosure on NYE.

Leading the push Jackmaster explains “I will be donating 10% of all my DJ fees from my New Years Eve and New Years Day gigs to those affected by the tragedies going on in Aleppo. As someone lucky enough to be in the position to donate to worthy causes such as this, more often than not I have sat on my arse and watched it happen on TV. This changes now. If you too are lucky enough to be in a position to donate something (fucking anything).”

Hearing the call this morning, Tiga added “Following the lead of my friend Jackmaster, I’ll be donating a percentage of my NYE fees to help support the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Aleppo. We will be giving to Doctors Without Borders/ Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) and Save the Children please lend support if you can.”
