After his great debut on Lee Burridge’s imprint All Day I Dream, Nohan closed his first year in the music industry with a track on Damian Lazarus’s label Crosstown Rebels. His discography also contain two other EP, ‘Road To You’ on Armen Miran’s Hoomidaas, and ‘Softly’ on Sabb’s Radiant.

Hypnotics synth and tribal percussions are always present in his music creating unique atmospheres many times with a very recognizable voice on them. We had the time to chat with the newcomer to get to know him better.

WWD: Hi Nohan, how are you?

Hi guys fine thanks and very happy to have this little talk with you.

WWD: First of all congrats for this big first year. Are you happy about how everything turned?

Sure I Am! I am a big fan of Crosstown Rebels and All Day I Dream and releasing on these labels is something that makes me very proud of.

WWD: Which song of you catalogue is your favorite? 

No doubt: ‘Road To You’ because it’s a song that can be played on a beach or in a club and works nicely in both situations. 

WWD: So, you are now always thinking ‘club music’ when you are producing ?

Yes, that’s right because I even like very relaxed and chill situations.

WWD: What can we expect from you this year ?

My goal is to show you the best Nohan ever. Something new will come out soon and I am preparing a Live.. I am so excited about that!

WWD: How do you get currently inspired to write your tunes?

My life in general, what happens to me is something very important for my inspiration and of course what I listen to in clubs, at home, on the radio. I try to listen to many different genres of music and often the right idea comes up from the most unexpected situations.

WWD: Can you share with us your current studio setup?

Sure, my hardware stuff is a Mac Pro, Fireface 800, Prophet 6, Moog Sub37, Analog Rytm and Push as controller. My software is Ableton and Logic Pro.
