On ‘Made of Cashmere’, the second sneak peek of Oliver Koletzki‘s forthcoming ‘Made of Wood’ long-player on his own label Stil Vor Talent, we are treated to another pair of stand-out cuts for the Berlin producer’s 9th album: While highly addictive synth-crescendos wash over the bouncy beat of the EP’s title-track, the darker ‘Serpiente Del Ritmo’ is a subdued oriental belter featuring a mesmerizing spoken-word by ELIH. On both tracks, the meticulous attention to instrumentation and instinctive touch that sit at the centre of ‘Made of Wood’ shine through, as Koletzki carves out his deeply personal sonic sculptures with a confident, learned hand, while experimenting with a broad range of thrilling ideas and fresh textures.
