Raxon finishes a standout 2021 with a superb new single on iconic Brazilian label Warung Recordings. Egyptian-born, Barcelona-based artist Raxon has already put out a fantastic album on Kompakt and singles on the likes of Ellum Audio this year. His precision-tooled techno tracks are powerful in the club and nuanced enough for home listening. Is sound is imbued with 20 years of DJing knowledge that he has picked up while playing worldwide. One such recent gig took him to the famous Warung beach club in Brazil. The set he played, and the experience he had, inspired him to go home and write the tune presented here.

The fantastic ‘Tripworks’ is precisely the sort of slow-burning and sublime deep techno track you want to hear on the edge of the Brazilian jungle. Its careful melodies bring a sense of awe and wonder, and the hypnotic drums lock you into a spiritual experience as the synths unfold. Raxon’s knack for careful sound design and ability to program dynamic drums are what make this another standout production.
