Washington DC’s Enamour follows up a release on Kindisch with a step over to Get Physical Music for his new Ergot EP. The American producer has a signature sound that is as effective in the club as it is for headphone introspection, whether he’s producing deep, melodic or progressive house. In quick time, he has built up fans around the world including influential DJs like Sasha, Lee Burridge, and Guy J. After well-received EPs on Anjunadeep, Last Night on Earth, Einmusika, and Desert Hearts, he now arrives on Get Physical Music.

Opener ‘Ergot’ is a fun and stylish house cut. It is loose and fluid, with slick percussion and bubbling synths that are full of personality. The amusing combination sets the tone while a bright melody adds a gently euphoric touch. The brilliant “Dreamland’ has a playful and subtly funky groove overlaid with synthwork that drips of futuristic psychedelia. Pads leave long tails in their wake with diffuse neon hues that are easy to get lost in. ‘Hang in There!’ is the final tune and a serious ear-twister. The bass remains elastic as it weaves its way beneath edgy, whimsical chords that build tension and bring cosmic vibes to this memorable record.
