Celebrated Belgian DJ and Producer Axel Haube now adds Label Boss to his list of impressive credentials as he prepares to unveil the first release from his ‘We Are’ imprint. Following notable success as an immersive events platform and rave couture house, the brand enters a new phase of life as it extends into new territory with a record label arm. Inspired by the shows it has hosted in the past, the creative idea behind We Are as a label draws influence from the increase in popularity of visual arts as an accomplice to electronic music.

“Super happy to finally launch my own label ‘We Are’ with a bomb remix from one of my favourite duo Glowal. Aves Volare pushed Déjà Vu to another level with his amazing vocals. We have the original track already for a while, but I was waiting for the right moment & remixer to release it. I added Illusions as a B-track on the EP as it feels like a great add on to the EP with lots of emotional depth.” – Axel Haube

The first release sees Axel team up with Frankfurt-based Indie Dance and Progressive House artist Aves Volare, who provides the vocals for the title cut, “Déjà Vu.” The EP also features a remix from renowned Italian duo Glowal, known for their stellar work on labels including Afterlife & Innervisions, alongside a solo original from Axel to round off the release. The EP features a steady Melodic Techno theme throughout each of the tracks, each of which comes with its signature influence from the respective artists. A combination of driving dancefloor records weaved with emotion and expansive soundscapes, emulating the same depth of perception, and feeling we often find within the visual art that Axel says is a significant influence behind the label’s vision for We Are.
