Premiere: HAFT head to Dubfire’s SCI+TEC with hypnotic, forward-thinking debut via ‘Reflections’ EP

Dubfire and his label SCI+TEC Records welcome HAFT—the Iranian duo of Sam Nasehi and Amir Subb—to its roster with the compelling two-track EP, ‘Reflections.’ Known for weaving hypnotic rhythms, Eastern-inspired melodies, and deep-rooted pads into immersive soundscapes, HAFT’s signature blend continues to evolve across this powerful debut on Dubfire’s legendary imprint.

The EP opens with the title track ‘Reflections,’ a collaborative effort with 3D calligraphy artist Peyman Shaafi, marking his return to music after early days as a DJ alongside Dubfire. It’s a vibrant track from HAFT that underscores their ability to lace percussive momentum with atmospheric emotion.

On the flip side, HAFT continue to hone their sonic blueprint on ‘Metora.’ The track rides a smooth, rolling 122 BPM groove, wrapped in atmospheric textures and D Major harmonies that open like a desert sunrise. With subtly evolving synth lines, rooted percussion, and a cinematic sense of space, ‘Metora’ is a journey in both motion and emotion—perfectly suited for the deeper moments on late-night dancefloors.

With ‘Reflections’, HAFT not only steps into the SCI+TEC family, but firmly cement their place among the most forward-thinking names in progressive music today.

You can now listen to the full premiere of ‘Metora’ exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy!
