Premiere: Storm Mollison debuts on Heist Recordings with stellar cuts across ‘A.L.T.’ EP

Storm Mollison continues her stellar run of form with her debut release on Dam Swindle’s Heist Recordings, the ‘A.L.T.’ EP, arriving on March 27. Opening track ‘Doin Sumthin’ sets the tone with an artful blend of 90s house, playful horns, and original vocals dripping with soul and attitude courtesy of Aaron Pfeiffer. ‘Act Like That’ leans more song-led and intimate, pairing aching R&B vocals with wispy synths that smudge and smear like late-night memories.

On the flip, ‘Gotta Go’ switches gears with a driving, chord-laced house cut that showcases Mollison’s versatility and sharp dancefloor instincts. ‘Workin’ seals the EP with understated confidence and undeniable crossover appeal – a smooth, romantic hot-stepper where syrupy chords and velvety vocals glide across a sleek groove, turning the emotional temperature up without ever losing its cool.

London-born, Florida-raised artist Storm Mollison has made her mark on the capital’s underground as both an in-the-know selector and accomplished producer. Known for her Rinse FM residency and standout performances everywhere from Glastonbury to fabric, she has released solo material on SG Lewis’ Forever Days and high-profile collaborations with the likes of KI/KI, which have tipped millions of plays on streamers alone. Drawing from Chicago house through to UKG, her sound is rooted in deep house traditions while weaving in hints of jazz, R&B, and hip-hop – a blend that feels timeless, modern, and unmistakably her own.

Storm Mollison’s ‘A.L.T.’ EP arrives via Heist Recordings on 27th March 2026, with ‘Doing Sumthin’ and ‘Act Like That’ dropping on February 20th and March 6th, respectively.

You can now listen to the full premiere of ‘Doing Sumthin’ exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy!
