There is a particular magic that lives in the late hours, when the dancefloor stops thinking and simply moves. Akwua captures exactly that feeling on ‘Purple Bump’, the cut we are delighted to premiere today.

Rolling along at a steady 126 BPM, ‘Purple Bump’ sits right where melodic house meets indie dance. A hypnotic low end anchors the groove while a bright, unfolding melody keeps pulling the track forward, patient enough to breathe yet propulsive enough to keep bodies in motion. It is built for that moment deep into the night when everything clicks into place.

The track arrives as part of ‘Worldwide Insomnia 6’, the latest various artists single on Radiate Records, where Akwua lines up alongside Soar, Delon & Kiara, and Southcent. The collection leans fully into club focused melodic house and indie dance, music shaped for dancefloors and the underground spaces where the night truly comes alive.

Akwua is an Italian DJ and producer whose sound moves fluidly between afro, indie dance, house and techno, always carrying an afrocentric warmth at its core while staying loyal to a raw club sensibility. ‘Purple Bump’ is a fine example of that balance, emotive and hypnotic without ever losing its grip on the floor.

Radiate Records is the imprint founded by MAXI MERAKI, the globally touring DJ and producer known for emotionally driven club music at the crossroads of melodic house, indie dance and modern grooves. More than a label, Radiate is a movement built around connection, creativity and unforgettable dancefloor moments, and ‘Worldwide Insomnia 6’ is another strong statement of that vision.

You can now listen to the full premiere of ‘Purple Bump’ exclusively on When We Dip Radio. Enjoy!
