German DJ and producer Emanuel Satie makes a welcome return to Damian Lazarus’ Crosstown Rebels with ‘A Love Fantasy’, a three-track EP that captures an artist equally at home in peak-time rooms and in more introspective territory. It is his first full EP in three years, and it arrives as a broader artistic statement, balancing emotional depth with groove-led energy across every cut.

We are thrilled to premiere the title track, ‘A Love Fantasy’. Built on soulful vocals, vibrant chords and crisp, rolling rhythms, it sets the deep-rooted energy that runs through the whole release. There is a timeless house sensibility at its core, yet the production feels sharp and modern, the kind of record made to lift a late-night dancefloor while still carrying real feeling.

The EP that surrounds it shows the full spectrum of Satie’s sound. On ‘Touch’ he links with Ibiza’s Bruno Roth for a deeper, more sensual excursion guided by sweeping melodies and fluid movement, while the closing solo cut ‘Some Love’ leans further into melody and emotion for an uplifting finish. Together the three tracks reflect both sides of an artist who has built his reputation on bridging underground credibility with global dancefloor appeal.

Now based in Lisbon, Emanuel Satie has spent the past few years cementing his place as one of the scene’s most consistent names, with Beatport chart-toppers, DJ Awards recognition, releases on Innervisions, Diynamic and Cocoon, and a central role in the internationally renowned SCENARIOS collective. His ties to Crosstown Rebels run deep too, following his ‘Personal Liberation’ release on the label back in 2021.

Crosstown Rebels needs little introduction. Founded by Damian Lazarus in 2003, the label has spent more than two decades as a home for the electronic underground, championing quality alternative sounds and a real love of the party. ‘A Love Fantasy’ feels like a natural fit, and a fitting place for Satie to make his statement.
