White Rose Recordings reaches its thirty-first release in fine style, welcoming back Matara for the vibrant and genre-blending ‘Sun Chaser’ EP. Across three tracks, the producer moves fluidly between indie, deep, and house influences, showcasing the eclectic and forward-thinking approach that has defined his sound since he first began making music back in 2009.

Today we are thrilled to premiere ‘By My Side’, the emotional heart of the project. Built on a rich deep house foundation, the track pairs warm, rolling grooves with a powerful and emotive vocal that lingers long after the final bar. It is a beautifully balanced piece of music, deep enough for the late night floor yet melodic enough to carry real feeling, and it captures exactly why Matara has become such a compelling name to watch.

The wider EP gives plenty of context for that range. Title track ‘Sun Chaser’ opens proceedings with a distinctive indie flavour, driven by a catchy house piano that brings energy, groove, and a feel good atmosphere to the dancefloor. Closing cut ‘Emperor’ heads in a more indie dance direction, with hypnotic rhythms, textured synths, and a confident groove that adds a darker, more driving edge.

Known for a catalogue that spans house, indie dance, and a personal fusion he simply calls electronic, Matara, also known as Bar Matari, has released on respected imprints such as Diynamic, Black Rose, and Frau Blau, and has shared the studio with artists including Like Mike, Erly Tepshi, and Rafael Cerato. White Rose Recordings, the Italian home for this release, continues to build a reputation for quality underground house, and ‘Sun Chaser’ feels like a natural fit for the label’s growing roster.
