Italian artist Francesca Lombardo returns to her very own Echoe imprint this September with the ‘In Your Bass’ EP, a two-track release packed with acid tones, hypnotic grooves and plenty of character. Landing on vinyl and digital on September 18th, the record is another strong chapter for an artist who has never been afraid to blur the lines between the club and the concert hall.

Over the past decade, Francesca Lombardo has become one of the most distinctive voices in electronic music. Classically trained, she brings a composer’s ear to her club productions, and her catalogue speaks for itself with releases on Crosstown Rebels, Ovum, Mobilee and Poker Flat. On stage, her reach is just as wide, with performances at Burning Man, Circo Loco, Tomorrowland and even the Royal Albert Hall.

Echoe, the underground-focused imprint she runs alongside her sister label Echolette, has become her playground for exploring the space between dance music, live instrumentation and immersive storytelling. ‘In Your Bass’ continues that journey in style.

The title track opens the EP with twitchy acid bass lines, crisp drums and glitched out melodies unfolding over seven and a half minutes. Our premiere, ‘Acidina’, then shifts gears towards a more subtly evolving groove. Robust drums lay the foundation as choppy synth stabs, spring reverb, metallic tones and murky bass swells build into cinematic, dramatic textures, before the track returns to its stripped back, dance floor focused core. A hypnotic tech house cut made for those deep, late night moments.
