Romain Poncet is best known around the world as Traumer, but the French artist has always had plenty more going on behind the scenes. Brako, Amine Laje, Jinger, Redspecs and Marion Poncet are just some of the monikers he uses to explore every corner of his musical mind, from house music in all its shades and moods to techno, downbeat, trippy cuts for the heads and broken beat material.

This September, his Marion Poncet alias steps into the spotlight with a full length album on Smallville’s sister imprint Fuck Reality. Titled ‘The Raging Swells Crushing The Cliff Of My Love’, the record was written during a period of longing for his love, making it a deeply personal project and a heartfelt musical dedication.

Expect thoughtful but crunchy house music with real weight to it, the kind of sound that feels tailor made for the Fuck Reality family. Our premiere, ‘Distant De Touche’, captures that spirit perfectly, pairing warm, emotive textures with a chunky groove that keeps things moving while the feelings run deep.

Arriving as the label’s second LP, the album comes as a double 12 inch, dressed as always in a full cover artwork by Stefan Marx. Founded by the Hamburg crew behind Smallville Records, Fuck Reality has become a home for playful, positive and forward thinking house music, and this release fits right in.
