Sum Over Histories is turning ten, and to mark the occasion Frankey & Sandrino’s imprint is gathering its closest family on a special anniversary compilation. Among the artists who helped shape the label’s sound over the past decade is Jepe, who returns to the fold with ‘Fontaine Promenade’, a graceful and hypnotic cut that captures everything the label stands for.

Described by the label as a decade of infinite possibilities collapsing into one essential moment, the compilation brings together the founders themselves alongside the producers who defined the Sum Over Histories identity. It is a release made for believers in conscious listening, and a fitting tribute to one of the most distinctive labels in modern electronic music.

‘Fontaine Promenade’ feels like a slow walk through a sunlit city. Jepe builds the track around a warm, rolling groove and delicate melodic lines that bloom and fade with real patience. Jepe is a Portuguese producer based in Berlin, known for his richly layered productions and his versatility across deep house, indie dance and melodic electronic music. With releases on labels such as Diynamic, Moodmusic, Multinotes and Sum Over Histories, where he delivered records like ‘Reconnection’ and ‘Memoire’, he has become one of the most refined voices of the scene. He is also the founder of Eastern Standard and a mix engineer at Berlin’s Blackhead Studios.

Founded by Frankey & Sandrino, Sum Over Histories takes its name from a concept in quantum physics and describes its output as contemporary electronic music made for the closed eyes dancers. Over ten years, the label has built a loyal following thanks to its deep, emotional and forward thinking releases from established names and exciting new talent alike.
