mobilee welcomes Sofian to the label with the ‘Itkar’ EP. The German DJ and producer has been shaping dancefloors since the early 2000s, honing a hypnotic sound that fuses classic techno and house with a distinctly modern edge.

His self-produced tracks have found homes on respected imprints including Tronic, Harthouse and Peaks, drawing support from names such as Sasha, John Digweed, Christian Smith, Karotte, Sama Abdulhadi – and SOUS Music’s own Anja Schneider.

That last connection says a lot about why ‘Itkar’ feels so at home on the imprint. Sofian’s music lives in the same hypnotic, late-night orbit mobilee has called its own for two decades – machine-driven, emotive, built for the deep end of the night.

With this EP, he steps onto the label for the first time: a natural meeting of a captivating underground voice and the Berlin institution built to champion exactly that.
