The BORNE ALOFT trio brings a unique mix of classical training and forward-looking electronic sounds to a stunning new EP on Maceo Plex’s imprint Ellum Audio.

BORNE ALOFT comprises a classically trained composer and conductor and two electronic music producers with degrees in BSc Audio Engineering. Their backgrounds cover a broad range of sounds and result in a multi-faceted style that brings a fresh perspective to the dancefloor. Their previous release on Ellum Audio, ‘Primal Urge,’ offered a musical experience that truly opened the mind and immersed the listener in a state of self-reflection. The journey continues here with their first full EP for the imprint.

The sublime ‘Cinar’ is a slow-burning cosmic techno track built on rolling drums. The majestic synth work slowly takes things higher while twinkling keys and fizzing pads complete the trip. There is a serenity and elegance to the BORNE ALOFT sound that shows again on ‘Air Cut,’ a stylish melodic techno track that is emotionally charged and futuristic. Exquisite synth design similarly defines ‘Talk To Me,’ which is epic and dramatic as it builds in rich cosmic layers over perfectly pulsating drums. Closer ‘Ghost Note’ is a powerful but still cinematic track with supple drums overlaid by sonar-like synths and sci-fi effects.
