DGTL Records preps its 23rd release with internationally renowned producer and composer Henrik Schwarz. ‘Home In On’ is available on 27 January, with pre-orders starting on 20 January 2023.

For those who have followed DGTL over the years, you’ll recognize the name Henrik Schwarz. He is one of the game’s most dexterous and prolific names, an electronic music legend, masterful composer, and true artist. Over twenty years, some 100 releases, eclectic collaborations, and countless beloved performances worldwide, he delicately balances the line between electronic, classical, and jazz through everything from sweaty club sets to seated auditorium live performances. But that only scratches the surface. With Home In On, the German maestro joins the DGTL Records family, emerging from the pandemic with two tracks of studio wizardry and a clear reminder of why he is one of the premier names in melodic minimalism.

Somehow both simple and robust, stripped down and expansive, the EP kicks off with the eco-conscious Posidonia Oceanica’s eerie funk. Born from the improvisational live keys of a 2017 DGTL Tel Aviv set and finished amongst the CO2 gathering Ibizan seagrass sometime this year, ‘Posidonia Oceanica’ features an infectious groove sprouting delicately from its bassline’s steady crunch. ‘Posidonia Oceanica’ is the perfectly layered kickstarter, or afterhours anthem, for any dancefloor.

Then, on ‘Home in on Those Things’, Schwarz ever so slightly dips into tribal territory, albeit with all the unpredictability we’ve come to expect. Swirling, cheeky, responsive, steady, Home in on Those Things is also a throwback to Henrik’s deep musical roots.
