Set to follow in the grand success of his five-track ‘Feel Alive’ record for the label in January of this year, Hollen’s aptly-titled new offering is another prime example of his ability to create timeless electronic music with a progressive edge.
The extended-player opens with its title track ‘Timeless;’ a rolling slice of peak-time techno founded on crisp percussion, heady vocal chops and unequivocally cool melodic sequences. Perfect for main stages and intimate venues alike, this anthemic cut is a prime example of Prospect’s ethos to promote the club cuts that stand the test of time.
Hollen’s second offering, ‘Convert,’ is another propulsive gem that showcases many of the raw and refined sonic sensibilities that have become synonymous with his abundant output. Deploying a bellowing kick, tempo-ed drum patterns and a potent web of synth intricacies, the cherished talent provides an enveloping listening experience that’s both thrilling and meditative in equal measure.
Rounding out the extended player we’re treated to a special ‘Intro Mix’ of ‘Timeless.’ Breeding anticipation from the offset, the almost minute-long cut emphasizes its counterpart’s delicate synth patterns, hazy soundscapes and overlapping melodies with great subtlety and finesse.
