Following February’s punchy ‘Guacamolly’ EP from Dutch talent RAYZIR, Cuttin’ Headz’s second release of the year introduces a fresh voice to the label, Joey London Style. Marking his debut appearance on the imprint, ‘Strange Dream’ is arguably the UK DJ/producer’s biggest release to date, bringing his sharp sound to the Bronx-based imprint for a double hitter of club cuts.

His ‘Strange Dream’ EP offers two impressive cuts built for late-night moments. Title track ‘Strange Dream’ delivers a hypnotic and bumping ride through low-slung rhythms, warped synths and infectious female vocals, blurring the line between dream state and dancefloor reality. On the flip, ‘Soul Sucker’ injects a heavier groove into the mix, driven by rugged basslines and trippy loops that nod to classic minimal-leaning house influences with a modern edge.

Raised in North London and now based in Manchester, Joey has spent the past few years honing a style that balances underground grit with infectious groove. With previous releases on respected outlets like Deeperfect and Take Notes, and support from top-tier selectors including Marco Carola, Jamie Jones, Michael Bibi, and the label heads themselves, his tracks are consistently championed across dancefloors from Ibiza to Miami. With ‘Strange Dream,’ he steps confidently into the spotlight on Cuttin’ Headz, setting the tone with a pair of cuts on one of the most influential labels in modern house music.

You can now listen to the full premiere of ‘Soul Sucker’ exclusively on When We Dip Radio. Enjoy!
