Today on When We Dip Magazine, we’re pleased to premiere the ‘Mad Science (Day Mix)’, from the latest release of FM Radio Gods, landing on GURU Recordings.

Returning to the label with a fresh club-focused offering, the Montreal-based duo present Mad Science as a two-part concept built around contrasting interpretations of the same track. The ‘Day’ and ‘Night’ mixes explore different emotional angles, highlighting how subtle changes in arrangement, tone and atmosphere can shift the character of a dancefloor record.

Our focus today is the ‘Day Mix’, which leans into a lighter, groove-led direction. Driven by a warm bassline and crisp rhythmic framework, the track unfolds with playful energy and a fluid sense of momentum. Atmospheric textures and melodic accents weave through the arrangement, creating a sound that feels both uplifting and tightly designed for the dancefloor.

Alongside the original interpretations, the EP also welcomes a pair of remixes that expand the release’s sonic palette. Temple Tears, the head of GURU Recordings, offers his own reinterpretation, while Belgian artist EdWho? makes his debut appearance on the label with a fresh take on the track.

With Mad Science, FM Radio Gods once again showcase their ability to craft groove-driven club music that balances atmosphere and functionality, delivering two distinct moods built from the same creative core.

You can now listen to the full premiere of the ‘Mad Science (Day Mix)’ exclusively on When We Dip Radio. Enjoy!
