Caprices Festival announce new location, setup, and impressive Phase 1 lineup for winter 2026 edition

After 23 editions in the Crans-Montana, Switzerland’s premiere mountaintop festival Caprices has announced that its flagship winter edition will now take place in Eggli, Gstaad. The move marks a considered new chapter, introducing new stages, and a refined production setup that utilises existing structures to enhance both sound, comfort, continuity, and experience. Perched high above the slopes, Eggli offers a spectacular 360° panoramic view of the Swiss Alps, where breathtaking nature meets cutting-edge electronic music.

The shift to Gstaad represents evolution – after more than two decades shaping the blueprint for mountain festivals worldwide, Caprices now enters a refreshed chapter that expands what the event can offer – deeper integration with the landscape, improved protection from the elements, and new creative opportunities for staging and design – whilst the region itself offers stunning natural beauty,  201km of slopes, husky sled, hiking, biking, and more. This transition captures a rare balance between legacy and renewal, and at its core the festival remains defined by the same values that have sustained it for over 20 years: meticulous curation, world-class sound and a community of music lovers spanning over 75 countries.

A refined access system sees gondolas now operate continuously from midday until 4AM, and a swift seven-minute journey to the summit. At the top, the Eggli site allows for the development of three distinct glasshouse stages, each with its own unique character. The Peak Stage is dedicated to large-scale shows with breathtaking alpine views; the CNTRL Stage will offer a more intimate setting designed for longer sets and exclusive back-to-backs, and the Ridge Stage will explore more experimental sounds and immersive concepts. Across all stages, the scenography, light design, mapping and installations will continue Caprices’ reputation for exceptional production standards.

“Caprices has always been about the connection between nature, art and music. By moving to Gstaad, we remain faithful to this vision while taking the overall experience to an even higher level,” says Maxime Léonard, Co-Founder and CEO of Caprices Festival.

The 2026 edition marks a continuation of Caprices’ tight-knit family story, with many long-time favourites returning in the festival’s new alpine home. Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano – who appears in a special b2b with Dennis Cruz – Sonja Moonear, Sven Väth, DJ Tennis, Jamie Jones, Bedouin, Dan Ghenacia and Raresh (with RPR Soundsystem) are among the iconic names revealed. These returning artists reflect the deep relationships Caprices has cultivated with its community, and they remain central to the festival’s artistic identity.

Alongside these longstanding collaborators, Caprices is also welcoming a new generation of breakthrough headliners who have never performed at the festival before. Artists such as Vintage Culture, Josh Baker, Mau P, Adam Ten, Mita Gami, Alisha, Cincity, Sally C and Stoffela represent a future-facing wave that has risen rapidly on the international scene. “We want Caprices to remain ahead of the curve – a place where the artists who built the festival’s history meet the talents who are shaping the future of electronic music,” says Kerol Kollom, Caprices’ Head of Talent.
