Few figures have done more for the deeper end of Hungary’s dance music scene than Peter Makto. Raised in a small village in western Hungary and now based in Budapest, he has spent more than two decades behind the decks, with releases on The Soundgarden, Einmusika, Hoomidaas, Sound Of Sirin and Where The Heart Is, a Balance Selections mix to his name, regular support from Hernan Cattaneo and a monthly Covenant Radio Show on Ibiza Global Radio alongside Matias Velazco. He also runs two labels, Truesounds Music and Zenebona Records, the latter founded in 2020 as a home for deep, organic dance music and, since 2022, a party series in its own right. Nearly one hundred releases in, Zenebona has grown into one of the most reliable outlets for emotive progressive and organic sounds coming out of Central Europe.
For its latest outing, the label welcomes one of the most exciting new names in the melodic world. Sardinia-born Artic White was introduced to the scene by Lost Desert in 2024 and has since climbed to the top of Beatport’s Organic House artist ranking for 2026, picking up support from Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo, Nora En Pure and Mariano Mellino along the way, with releases on Where The Heart Is and Univack. His ‘Aldilá’ EP, out October 16th, features two uplifting, DJ-friendly originals in ‘Aldilá’ and ‘Simmetry’, both bursting with the energy and vibrant character that define his sound, alongside a remix of the title track by fellow rising talent Matthew Sona.
Closing the package is our premiere, the Peter Makto remix of ‘Simmetry’. The label boss takes the original somewhere deeper and more emotional, trading its brightness for a soft kick, warm and fat basslines and a slow-building sense of calm, with Artic White’s melodies drifting through the mix like a memory. Clocking in at just under eight minutes, it is a remix made for those special early-morning moments when the dancefloor enters a different state of mind, and a perfect illustration of what Zenebona does best.
