Canadian indie electronic duo HOKI close out a turbulent Summer with an emotive new cut titled ‘Crash’. The song, which features on their forthcoming second album ‘Today’, fuses the searing, storyful vocal tones of Aussie Brent McCormick with a nostalgic melody-infused base crafted by partner Varti Deuchoghlian. The track captures the experience of a harrowing life-changing moment with beautiful contrast.
Joining the pair on the release are remixers Christian Nielsen and Dance Cartel. Fresh from a debut on Maceo Plex’s Ellum, Christian Nielsen delivers a vibrant club-ready rework with a trippy edge. Rising US-based trio Dance Cartel, who have previously caught the spotlight on the likes of Big Beat, put their own melodic touch and signature groove to the original in a blissful dance-floor remix.
