The Hybrid EP runs 4 tracks in length, featuring both originals and remixes. The EP is led by ‘Silicon,’ a contagiously high-paced and danceable intro. The track offers a thumping bassline, while static punches of synthes and modulated vocals lead listeners into a groovy drop. ‘Rubber’ is a more tangible tech house offering, with escalating risers and an emphatic bass line delivering a grungy yet danceable feeling. The EP is closed with two remixes from the likes of Sacha Robotti and SHADED. Each provides their own flavor, while holding true to the original’s fitting vibe for Desert Hearts Records.

Hailing from Paris, POPOF is a DJ/producer who emerged from the rave scene and has since taken his House and Techno sound around the world. He established his Form label in 2009, and has collaborated with a bevy of influential artists. POPOF draws on a wide range of influences, and is one of the most widely recognized names within the world of House and Techno music.
