Summer is not ready to fade just yet, and Cameron Jack is here to prove it. The London producer takes the driver’s seat with ‘The Beat’, the title track of his brand new EP on La Zic, a record built for those sunrise moments when the last sunbeams hit the dancefloor and nobody wants to go home.
Over the last couple of years, Cameron Jack has enjoyed a remarkable rise, landing releases on respected imprints such as Knee Deep In Sound, Crosstown Rebels and Revival NYC. Along the way, he has hosted a radio takeover for Circoloco and made his DC10 main room debut with Solid Grooves, cementing his place among the most exciting names in the underground house scene today.
‘The Beat’ is a fresh and bouncy original where tight, punchy drums lock in with a full-bodied bassline. Sprinkled with warm Balearic energy, the track glides with an easy yet trippy feel, making it an irresistible after-hours tool for DJs looking to keep the groove rolling long after the sun comes up.
The EP is completed by two strong remixes. Jeff Sorkowitz delivers his gritty, bass-driven trademark sound, the same style that made him a favourite on labels like Take Notes, Deeperfect and his own Short Circuit imprint. Romania-born, now Barcelona-based Constratti then returns to his homeland roots with a driving and dreamy interpretation that closes the package in style.
Founded by DJ and producer Cristina Lazic, La Zic has grown into a home for groovy, forward-thinking house music, bringing together established names and rising talents under its moonlit banner. With ‘The Beat’ EP, the label adds another summer-ready release to its ever-growing catalogue.
You can now listen to the full premiere of ‘The Beat’ exclusively on When We Dip Radio. Enjoy!
