Some records arrive like a late summer breeze, and ‘Slow Down’ is exactly that kind of track. Paris-born house talent Selena Faider joins forces with California duo Bali and vocalist Zuzu Silk for a warm, groove-led single out now on Aluna’s label Noir Fever.
Built on deep, techy house foundations, ‘Slow Down’ rides a rolling, warm bassline and a restrained club groove that leaves plenty of room for Zuzu Silk’s silky, pop-leaning vocal. The story is one we all know: a romance moving a little too fast, the warning signs flashing, and the temptation to let the momentum carry you anyway. The production mirrors that tension perfectly, keeping things smooth and controlled while the vocal pulls you deeper into the rush. Bali laid down the groove, and Selena Faider added her own touch to lift the record even higher, giving it that endless summer feel she describes so well.
Selena Faider has quickly become one of Europe’s most exciting rising house names. Selected as one of 1001Tracklists’ Future of Dance 2025 artists and praised by DJ Mag as “The Future of House”, she made her collaborative debut with New York legend Todd Terry on ‘Underground World’ and has since earned support from BBC Radio 1, Capital Dance and Kiss FM. Her live profile keeps growing too, with appearances at Glastonbury, Capital Dance Malta, Uncommon Festival and ADE.
Bali, the Los Angeles based duo formed by lifelong friends Ankit and Ahmad, bring a sound rooted in house music’s power for escapism and connection. With releases on Nervous Records, Criterio and Warner Music Italy, they have already caught the attention of Marco Carola, Dennis Cruz, Deeper Purpose and Wade. On vocals, Zuzu Silk continues her rise after standing out at Noir Fever’s first writing camp, where she also collaborated with AQUTIE on ‘Big Bag Bounce’, before becoming the first artist signed to the label’s publishing arm.
Founded by Aluna, Noir Fever is much more than a record label. Its mission is to build an ecosystem where Black artists in electronic music can access the collaborators, resources and long-term support they need to develop sustainable careers. ‘Slow Down’ is a beautiful example of that vision in action, and a record made to soundtrack sunsets well beyond the end of summer.
