Inspired by the energy and connections of Amsterdam Dance Event, Sri Lankan imprint Synthesis Recordings returns with the second edition of its annual celebration of the island’s underground electronic music scene. Titled ‘Sri Lanka x Amsterdam Vol. 2’, the various artists compilation brings together five progressive house productions that connect established names with emerging talents through deep grooves, immersive atmospheres and uplifting melodies.

Among the highlights of the release, Colombo’s own Nishan Lee delivers ‘Transmission’, a track that brings real forward momentum to the journey. Built on a driving, hypnotic groove and spacious textures, the record keeps building tension with patience and precision, sending its signal straight to the dancefloor. It is a perfect example of the deep and emotive sound that has defined his work for years.

With more than two decades of experience in the music industry, Nishan Lee is one of the key figures of Sri Lanka’s underground scene. He is the founder of Audiosolo, a respected brand spanning events, a record label and a radio show on Frisky Radio, and his productions and edits have found their way into the sets of artists like Nick Warren. Alongside him on the compilation, Jadon Fonka opens with ‘Routes’, Kryptone follows with ‘Eternal’, Samuel offers ‘World’ and Thilon Jay closes with ‘Higher Ground’.

After a successful first edition in 2025, Synthesis Recordings continues to showcase the depth of Sri Lanka’s progressive house scene with this second volume, building a bridge between local talent and the wider international dance music community.

You can now listen to the full premiere of ‘Transmission’ exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy!
