Sunday’s soundtrack comes from a leading light in the Irish electronic scene this year; Daithí. The Galway man has been garnering much support from across the board with his distinct dance music concoction, a mélange fusing impressive melodic hooks, upbeat drums patterns and, often, a quality vocal performance. Regulars at WWD will be well aware of our respect for the man, his “My Love” (Justin Timberlake) & “Poison” (Liza Flume) remixes have both been the subject of glowing reviews.

The latest piece is a remix of Irish group Fight Like Apes’s “Crouching Bees”. What impresses us is the ability to keep the heart of the track in place while simultaneously reshaping it with the unique Daithí sound (the arps, the stabs and the fx). It showcases once more his talent for a remix, in addition it excites us for the impending new album billed for June 6th. Grab a listen below!
