Few artists have shaped the modern techno landscape quite like Victor Ruiz. The Brazilian producer, now based in Europe, has spent years among the most commercially successful names in the genre, all while building his Volta imprint into one of the most respected labels around. Now he reaches the close of his boldest chapter yet with ‘Technicolor’, the fourth and final single drawn from his forthcoming debut album ‘VICTOR’.

Where much of Ruiz’s catalogue is rooted in driving, high-energy techno, ‘Technicolor’ leans into something warmer and more cinematic. Lush, sweeping melodies rise over a deep and purposeful groove, building toward emotional peaks that feel designed as much for the heart as for the dancefloor. It is music with real colour and movement, and it captures the sense of an artist confident enough to follow his instincts wherever they lead.

That same spirit runs through the whole of ‘VICTOR’, Ruiz’s most ambitious body of work to date. Across the album’s rollout, each single has revealed a different side of his evolution, from the meditative stillness of ‘Silence’ and the vulnerability of ‘Alone’ to the uplifting glow of ‘Sundance’. With ‘Technicolor’, those threads begin to converge, arriving as the moment everything opens up, larger in scale and broader in emotion before the full album lands.

The release arrives on Volta, the label Ruiz founded and continues to steer as a home for forward-thinking electronic music. Since launching, Volta has quickly grown into one of the most successful techno imprints in the scene, championing both Ruiz’s own productions and a roster of like-minded artists. Closing his debut album on his own platform feels only fitting, a full-circle moment for a producer who has always done things on his own terms.

You can now listen to the full premiere of ‘Technicolor’ exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy!
