French musician, DJ and producer Notre Dame first emerged over a decade ago, sporting a uniquely cinematic and emotionally charged sound to his house productions that draw on a love of jazz and classical. His impressive back catalogue includes releases on labels such as Innervisions, Still Vor Talent and Diynamic before now taking him to Bedouin’s Human By Default with his ‘Amuse’ EP.

Opener ‘Amuse’ is an electric house cut led by elegant synths dancing in symphonic fashion over warm, deep beats that will surely cast a lasting spell on the dance floor. ‘Dunes’ then rides a broken beat loop, and edgy synth stabs heighten the suspense as sombre chords strike down with a heavy sense of emotion. Lastly, ‘Mundo’ showcases Notre Dame’s arranging skills as he expertly layers up glassy sounds, loose percussion and wailing vocals.

Notre Dame ‘Amuse’ EP drops via Human By Default on 8th December 2023. Notre Dame will be playing alongside Bedouin at their Space Residency on 15th December 2023.
